A lawyer graduated from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, class of 1977. In 1980, he completed post-graduate studies at the University of New York (LL.M).

In 1992.he joined Torres Plaz & Araujo and was made an Equity Partner in 1998.

He is currently Director of Central, E.A.P and of Seguros Los Andes of C.A. Ponche Crema. He is a former Principal Director of Arrendadora Bancaracas and of Banco Caracas - Sociedad de Capitalizacion. He is a member of the Capital Markets Committee of the Venezuelan-American Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VenAmCham).
