A lawyer graduated from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, class of 1976. In 1987, he obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Tax Law from Universidad Central de Venezuela.

He is a voting member of the Venezuelan Tax Law Association; a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA); and member of the Tax Commitee of the Venezuelan-American Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VenAmCham).

He is a founding member of Torres Plaz & Araujo.
